Default Attendee Roles for Users and Resources

A Default Event Attendee Role can be specified for each user/resource in your ExhibitDay Workspace (under Workspace Settings > Users & Permissions). If a user/resource has a Default Event Attendee Role specified, they will automatically be tagged as that role the next time they are added as an Attendee of an Event (under the Event [Staff] tab).

Adding Custom Event Attendee Roles

If there are additional roles that you would like to include in your ExhibitDay Workspace, you can add your own custom roles (under Workspace Settings > Customize Event Fields > Customize Event Attendee Roles).

Duplicating a Task

We just released the ability to copy/duplicate tasks in ExhibitDay.

Copying / Duplicating a Task

Sometimes it might just be easier to create a new task by duplicating an existing task. If you have a task in ExhibitDay that you want to copy, you can use the new [Duplicate] button on the task edit form to make a copy of the task.

Make a duplicate copy of a task

Pro-tip: you can also duplicate a task using the “Duplicate this Task” link on the task Context Menu (when you right-click on a task).

Note: If you want to copy all the tasks from one event to a new event, you can use the Event Copy feature (with the Copy Tasks option checked). For more information about copying events, please read this blog post.

Specifying the Location for Scheduled Items in the Event Playbook

We just released the ability to specify the location for a scheduled item in your Event Playbook in ExhibitDay.

The New Location Field

You can now use the new Location field in the scheduled items in your Event Playbook to specify where the scheduled item takes place. For example, for a meeting with a client, you can specify which meeting room the meeting will take place in; or, for speaking engagements, you can specify where the speaker will be presenting.

Adding Tags to Events

We just released the ability to add tags to your events in ExhibitDay.

Tagging Events

Tags are keywords or phrases that can be added to your events in order to classify each event. For example, you can tag an event with the name of the division in your organization that the event belongs to. Or, you can tag each event with its corresponding industry or geographical region. In other words, tags can be used as a classification/grouping mechanism for your events — however way you see fit…

Tags can be added to each event from the event view page.

Tag Events

Filtering Your Events by Tag

On the main Events page, you can see all the tags for each event. The new tag filter can be used to filter down the list of events by any number of tags.
